P.S. 131

this is a wonderful school that has caring teachers and staff. My child is always treated fairly and feels empowered by the education she gets from this school. The teachers are very professional as they are always finding new ways to apply their daily lessons. They attend workshops and consult with each other on new ways to improve teaching practice. I know my girl is getting a well rounded education from this school.

This is an excellent school. I really believe that the only reason my son has done so well is because of the support he receives from the teachers and principals. Year after year, I am grateful for the trusting hands that I leave my child in. They always go above and beyond. As my son graduates from 131 this year, I'm saddened for him because I don't know if he will get the quality of care and support he has gotten from 131. The principal, and assistant principals are wonderful and keep the parents informed of their childs needs or concerns. This is a wonderful school, dedicated to their students.

I am 30 year veteran teacher who has worked PS 131 for 23 years. PS 131 is a school community that is thriving. The administration, faculty and staff are all dedicated to bringing our students forward. We have a diverse student population with 40% of our students who are English Language Learners (ELL's). These students are making making significant strides in learning English. New York State recognizes our school as being 'In Good Standing'. We are a magnet school for the Performing and Visual Arts and are committed to the integration of technology into the classroom curriculum. Our Principal, Ruth Quiles, is an excellent administrator who recently received the prestigious Time Warner Principals of Excellence Award.

Public School 131 is a great school that is full of qualified and caring teachers. I feel any child that goes to this school will get a quality education, as well as a diverse exposure to many different ethnic backgrounds. I have taught in this school for two years and find this school to be a supportive family unit that puts the children first. The administration is dedicated as wll as qualified to the needs of the teachers, communitty, and their families.
