Mrs.Russo is now making changes to a problems. All the staff member cares about us the same. When I lived in Brooklyn, this was the elementary school I attended. I was a student during the early 1960's. My mom attended PS 160 when she was a child, going through 1st through 6 grades. When I became a parent in the early 1970's, both my children attended this school. I was amazed that my kids had the same teachers as I did, and when I was a girl, my mom had the same teachers that I did. It was a caring, family oriented school and hopefully today it holds true to form.

I am a alumni of this school. And I have to say that the teachers are outstanding. It has been roughly eight years since I had visited. But to this day I still remember my teacher, Mrs. Dourakis. Although I am having trouble getting a hold of her through e-mail, I have to say this school is definitely a 5 star school.

PS160 has many pre-referral academic interventions for students. It's also an eco-friendly school that actually recycles!!!

This school is absolutely wonderful. The teachers and principal at this school are warm, genuine and committed to the students. The principal, Margaret Russo has not been here long, but she has quickly made it a more warm and caring place. The academics were already well respected before she got here, but she and staff have made this into a school with a lot of heart. My kids will have completedkindergarten and 3rd grade this year. They both enjoy the school immensely although they have very different personalities and approaches to schoolwork. My daughter's kindergarten class had only 19 children this year and her teacher was fantastic. She really concentrated on showing the kids how to think. My son's 3rd grade class had a heavy emphasis on writing and math problems all year. His teacher was firm and consistent with the academics night after night but they also had fun.

Public School 160 is a great school that is full of qualified and caring teachers. I feel any child that goes to this school will get a quality education, as well as a diverse exposure to many different ethnic backgrounds. I have taught in this school for two years and find this school to be a supportive family unit that puts the children first. The administration is dedicated as wll as qualified to the needs of the teachers, communitty, and their families. '
