I have a son who started kindergarten in Sept 2007. They have programs which they have different subjects for a certain periods just like in HIGH SCHOOL.....They get pulled out of the class to do individual study with sight words and reading which is an unbelievable challenge and great for kids. My son has learned so much. The only other thing I wish they would teach more in Math and keep them abreast for the city-wide they have to take in 3th or 4th grade.
My child graduated on June 2007. The teachers are very nice and understanding. . But if you want to enter this school, these are the teachers that might want to consider your child. Ms.Grosso, Ms.Rios,Ms.Baldino,Ms.Abuasi,Mrs.Rosado, Ms.Tait, and Ms.Rosenblatt. those teachers helped my student learn and succeed lots of things.
Good school for average student. Needs to improve academics to meet the needs of above average students. Too much emphasis placed on dancing instruction through project arts. Needs to improve guidance department and improve code of discipline for misbehaving students. The literacy and math coaches are a big plus to the school.
It's a great school academic wise. They have activity for the second garde and up it's a clean school.Teachers are gret staff too
Teachers are excellent. Mrs. Chung-Spellman is excellent. Students are hard working and polite.
