P.S. 221 is a great school, you feel very welcome from the first day you step foot into the school. I can say this because that is the way I felt when my children attended the school and I still have the same feeling today. My nephew goes there now and the atmosphere is still the same. Go to 221.

P.S. 221 is the first Hip2B Healthy School in New York City and nationally. Seeds in the Middle, named by fourth graders in Crown Heights, partners with P.S. 221 as a pilot to integrate healthy choices, environmental education, cooking, greening, the arts, and more hands-on learning into the curriculum to inspire students to excel in math, literacy, social studies, science and more. Universities are working with teachers on professional development and Seeds in the Middle empowers parents, too, to advocate for their children and fundraise effectively. Please see seedsinthemiddle.org to see the exciting programs at P.S. 221, funded by donations and volunteerism from corporations like Home Depot, Whole Foods Market and many more. We work closely with very talented, dedicated and hardworking faculty at P.S. 221, an inspiring model for any educational institution, anywhere.

My nine year old son has been having a really hard time at this school due to student and teacher bullying. He loves school but due to recent incidents, he does not want to go to school. I have spoken to the principal several times to have him removed from th current class to avoid my child from being bullied. This change has not taken place as yet. The teacher is very unprofessional and believes the words of fellow students above the word of my son.
