I remember leaving this school because of switching classes. Its been awhile, so I'm sure they cleaned up their act (about 12 years now? Wow time flies...) Anyway, the administration itself was a mess: I transferred here when my parents moved from Queens. They had 7 different 'levels' of classes depending on where they believed their students belonged in (which is a rubbish idea to begin with. They're just causing a self-fulfilling prophecy) Instead of giving me some sort of test or evaluation, they simply placed me in the lowest class. After 2 months of being too easy, they transferred me to the hardest class. I had 2 days to catch up on a whole years worth of material. They had a test, and I barely passed. They threw me out after the 3rd day. What did they expect?!? I got placed in the 4th class. I don't remember what class was like, only that it was one of the worst 3 months of my life. I was bullied every day because of the fact I was Jewish (which was ridiculous considering 1/4 of the class was). The administration didn't care. I couldn't even transfer out, so I was forced to go to private schools (which were all junk).

I am so ecstatic my son is attending PS 222. He is zoned for PS 207 which I am very happy he is not there. The staff in PS 207 can not compare or compete with the staff in PS 222. PS 222 has a great reputation on being one of the top schools in the area. Keep up the awesome work!

It is such a great chance for us, we are living close by PS 222. By the way my doughters are the students of PS 222. Our school has exprienced education stuff, from main office till directorate. All the teachers are fullfill of humanity. In their classrooms my doughters feel the warm of their sweet home. There are modern education methods are performed in the school. Also, Parent coordinator of the school shows a great performance to strengthen parents relationship.

This is a very good school. I'm very happy with the teachers and my child's progress so far. I hope next year I have the same luck I had this year with the teachers.

This school is a wonderful learning environment for my little sister. The teachers and other staff are caring and will go out of their way to contact you if a problem should arise. With the exception of one para, I would say this school deserves the 8/10 it has received.

The teachers are wonderful, the administration is better than a previous Brooklyn public school. However, I am appaled at the lack of physical education that is way below what is required by the state, limited time at the playground (once a week and often cancelled even if the weather is nice) and lack of art education. That said, my child enjoys going to school every day.

I love PS222.This is what my son said, after one term in this school. For me the teachers work extremely hard at all times. The curriculum is both fun and positively tact. The level of discipline is one of the best in the district and the surroundings are well taken care of.Interaction between parent and teachers is amazing. One of the best parent coordinators in the district -Miss.Camisa-hats off to her job well done.Thank you so much PS222 one of the best!

The lack of physical education and oppressive environment of the lunch room are both drawbacks. The teachers my daughter has had for kindergarten and this past year for first grade have been very good. I'm quite pleased with the reading and writing but find the math curriculum confusing and wanting. Given what they have to work with, the teachers do a nice job.
