Ar P.S. 399, the day always begins by gathering together as a family and acknowledging the special moments in our lives. All academic and extracurricular activities are centered around motivating the whole child. At P.S. 399, we practice everyday, "it takes a whole village." philosophy. That is why our students keep coming back to visit and we have as many former students in the after school performing arts program, as there are current students. Every parent, teacher, staff member, and student - present and former, knows that we are "the best school around."

Wonderful school. While academics are at the forefront, the arts are still included. The enviroment is that of a family working together for the benefit of each child. The whole community is involved in the enrichment of this school.

I agree the most updated comment: Parents Beware! Please don't be fooled by the reviews! PS 399 has a very rude and uncaring administrative staff! I Principal is not professional and I wish I didn't enroll my child into that school. If you make a complaint the principal ready to throw you out of her school.

Parents Beware! Please don't be fooled by the reviews! PS 399 has a very rude and uncaring administrative staff! This school is only for 100% perfect children! If your child is less than perfect, the staff will place you in counseling and if necessary, have your child expelled from school!

I think its a extraordinary school. Their morning exercises inspire the students and the parents as well. They pride themselves on being able to make their students think that anything is possible. Now that they are an empowerment school, that just gives their wonderful principle and faculty the ability to do greater things. I think the open classrooms let the children understand in advance that it doesn't matter what is going on next to you concentrate on what you need to do. We all know distraction is everywhere this teaches them to learn to ignore it. If they can learn here, anywhere else is easy!

P.S. 399 is a wondeful school and provides an excellent education to all of its students. It has a great music program which allows students to express thier creativity and talent. As a former student i can honestly say that it was a privilege to attend P.S. 399. I can't see why any child wouldn't be happy in this school.

Excellent school! They teach more than math and reading. They prepare children for the outside world.
