Make no mistake...this is a Catholic School in name only. I say this because there are many different denominations that attend St Mark. This became a problem when a few of my child's fellow students that aren't catholic told him that the bible was full of fairytales. Problem students from other schools are regularly accepted into St Mark so long as they can pay tuition. Last year my child asked me why a classmate that was regularly absent, slept in class often, hardly ever did any homework, and failed several test was allowed to graduate to the next grade with him.
I have two children in St. Mark, they have been in st. mark since they were 3, they are now 9 and 10, Im very happy with this school.. Its very family oriented, everybody knows eachother , and its a very warm ,homie feel.. The older kids know the younger kids , and all inbetween, they all look out for eachother.Every teacher and the principal know each student by name. . Its like one big family. I recommend this school highly..
I have two children in St. Mark's one that is in the fourth grade this year and the other one is in first, both are involved in school through activities and the Church. The school has good leadership, but some favoritism. What is wonderful about the school is the kids one level closeness and connection that the kids and parents have with the Church. You cannot help yourself, but to get involved with both the School and the Church through many events and the beautiful people of the community that get to know you because they have met you. Parents get involved as much as they can and the kids love it here. It is safe. The faculty are caring teachers and aides who will take care of and encourage the kids to be the best that they can. Many graduates loved all their teachers and they come back to encourage
This school is wonderful. I moved my children here because the academic program was far superior to that of the school they were previously attending. The family spirit and close knit community fostered by both the pastor and the principal is refreshing. Both the school and the parish provide many opportunities for service as well as socialization. The athletic program is also a huge plus. If you care about producing a well rounde student this school will be a strong foundation.
This school is great for kids growing up.I really recomend this school.
All three of my children attended this school and they have had a wonderful foundation and have excellent skills to take with them in life. (They attended from Nursery to 8th grade)
This is a great school, it offers so much for The leadership and family values are a big part of us. Each child is treated special, the teachers are all wonderful and have a huge impact of each child. If you decided to put your child in this school you will be very happy.
