I am a parent of two. both my children have attended LEDS since nursery. My oldest child will be attending college in the fall & my daughter will be graduating LEDS in june. I could not be happier with the education they have recieved at LEDS, it helped mold them into the fine young adults they are today. They have formed friendships with both students & teachers that they will have for the rest of thiers lives. If you are considering this school you have already set forth in the right direction.

I think this is a great school! I first learned about it when my niece attended. When I saw what a great education she was getting I enrolled my daughter there too. This is the kind of school where kids don't get lost in the crowd. The teachers and staff really try to reach each student. This year the school has made Peace a major theme. There is so much talk of violence in the school system these days. This school is like a peaceful haven.

This is a wonderful school! I would recommend it to anyone who wants a quality education and spiritual growth for their child. I am truely impressed by how all the teachers and staff go out of their way to challenge students. LEIF strives to teach the entire student. They teach students how to take responsibility and care for others by having a "growing to serve" every month. I am truely impressed by this school and think there should be many more like it.

my experience with Leif ericson Day school was absolutely wonderful. The teachers and staff are so warm and friendly. Everyone is helpful and my child received a wonderful education. She also learned the importance of helping others who are less fortunate and in need.

I was a student there, and I attended Nursery through 8th grade and attended the summer program. I loved it, and I really felt it prepared me for high school. Bullying is very much not allowed, and the teachers really care about the kids and whether or not they do well. The school really promotes a sense of community and responsibility. I would love to send my own kids there when I have them.

Clearly on the decline both academically and physically. So last year daughter attended nursery/Pre-K there..HOWEVER NOT HAPPY!.at open house they bragged about low class teacher ratio and small class size.THEN CAME SEPT.class way to big, over 18 kids and 1 teacher.Kids ages 2 yrs 9 mo to 4 in class.made room even smaller than it was.assistant in room not kid friendly.yelled a lot at children.need more help in class room.teacher is amazing but hard for her to handle all kids on her own! Principal not open to new ideas from parents or even some assistance in the class room.very set in her way and once she is upset with you. you and ur child will know it,PTA is a small clique who do not allow new parents nor take in new fund raising ideas or events.I was mislead greatly by them.i paid for a private school for my child to receive a better education not be crammed into a small class with unqualified ppl.i do not know who regulates them but if u are considering LEDS l i would ask to see the lisc from the NYSDOE/DOH. i was never provided with either.Moved my child to a private catholic school and she is thriving. They have qualified staff.large class rooms and no safety hazards.

Leif Ericson is a gem in Brooklyn. The principle, Ms. Hague, is amazing. I credit her, as well as the warm, dedicated and loving teachers & staff for my sons success & happiness in school. In times of crisis, fun times and test times, this school handles it all beautifully and my son is a happier/smarter person for it. I count my blessings I happened across them. I would recommend this school to any parent seeking a strong, challenging, loving environment for their children to learn in. They are a small school, so extra-curricular activites are limited, but the children value learning and positive interaction more for it. DId I mention the principle is amazing?

To start off, I'm not a parent, I'm Alumni. Thinking back on my experience there - it was wonderful! Not only did LEDS have a extraordinary staff but, the atmosphere was amazing. Everyone there was always kind and helpful. Plus, the things I learned there were unmatched. I would recommend this school to every parent out there.

Both my daughters just finished up there first year at the schools summer program, and I have to say I am completly in love with this school. The teachers and staff are amazing. From day one everyone was warm and welcoming and made my children feel right at home. Everyone at 'Scamp' has made my daughters summer one they will never forget.
