This school isnt so bad. My daughter attends Pre-k and her teacher Mr. ZFigueroa and Ms Ortega are prety good. My daighter is doing well in his class and he is very detailed with her progress. I dont know if I would want my child coming here next school year. I dont like the way the staff speaks to students in the hall. I also there is a large bulletin in the lobby that has each class and each student and their academic level. Its listed as "ABOVE LEVEL" AT LEVEL" AND "BELOW LEVEL". So under each level has each child name. I cant understand the concept of this. My child is above level but is only in Pre-k so if she were below level she cat read or understand what that means. However for the higher grades it seems so embrassing, I couldnt believe it when I saw it. I guess no one else though it was a big deal but me because its still up there. SMH.

My two kids attended this school for 4 years, the grades from pre-k to 1st grade are okay, but the following grades are bad. Teachers don't send enough homework, kids don't behave properly, there is no respect whatsoever from teachers to parents, ans the communication is awful. I agree with another comment posted here that i have seen teachers screaming and insulting children in front of the assistant principals and they don't say anything to them. This is not a good environment for a child's development, and now that i changed my kids from school they are amazed!, the first day of class the first thing they told me is: Mom i like this school, the kids behave nicely and nobody screams......I can see a big difference, and the educators are far more organized than the ones you can find here....there are a few outstanding teachers at this school, but very few kids get to have them.

My child went to PS 375 for two years. I allowed her to stay because she had great teachers. However, during the course of her two years there she was pushed to the ground, slammed against a wall, slapped in the face, received threatening letters home and fondled on her chest by a boy in her class. Did I neglect to mention that my daughter's last year there was 2nd grade? Why haven't the other reviews mentioned anything about Dr. Koolah "Parent Coordinator" who can be found walking around shouting at parents and children alike. Also Dr. Koolah is the point of contact on just about everything you need to do. So good luck if he decides that he doesn't like you!!

I Think Ms. Wilson is a great principa, and as a social worker, i see her compasion she has for these children, that come from different cultures, and environment, The pride academy gave my son the ability to learn and grow from the good and bad choices he made. But by only complaint is the bullying that some children experience, we need to work on that more as parents and staff.

The school and the principal are doing a great job. I am very pleased with the school's progress. Kudos to Ms. Wilson and the team at PS 375.

Jackie Robinson P.S. 375 is on the rise, and 'Excellence Is Our Only Option!' For the first time we have the same Principal for three consecutive years, and she is committed to excellence. With such strong leadership and the dedication of our staff who share one vision, we successfully moved from scoring 'D' and 'Under Developed' in '06-'07, to scoring 'B' and 'Well Developed,' in '07-'08. In addition to our daily academic rigor, our students have opportunities to engage in various extracurricular activities during and afterschool. These include basketball, arts & craft, music, movie making, photography, track, drama, tennis, computer, needlework, stepping, dancing, boxing, cooking, yoga etc. It's a thrill to watch all our students and staff as we engage in our 'Passion Friday' activities! We are working hard to continue on the positive path to even greater success, and hope that everyone concerned will come onboard.

I observed teachers screaming at students and insulting them in the presence of their peers. Some of the staff arevvery unprofessional, they were loud in the hall ways and it was hard to distinct the difference between the staff and students because of the immaturity.

This is not a bad school. It has it's problems but everyone is working really hard to turn it around. The school has had at least 6 different principals in the last 5 years. The principal that is there now has her hands full trying to undo the damage done over the last few years. Another problem is that there is very low parent participation in the school. The role of a parents is extremely important to the schools progress.

I do not have anything good to say about this school. It is unsanitary and unclean. Administration in unprofessional and disrespectful to parents and teachers alike. Children who have behavior problems are not dealt with properly due to the administration being uneducated and unexperienced. The new principal has no interest in the children!

I personally do not have anything good to really say about this school, other than there are a few good teachers. They do not show enough concern for the children or have any respect for the children, which causes them to rebel. So overall, they need more than improvement, they need a prayer. Good luck to the teachers that I happen to see has a bright future in teaching, they know who they are.

overall quality of this scool is that is in need of improvement - there is a lack of respect and total disregard for the students. the school is been open for 5 years and it has already change principals 6 times - the new principal seems to want to make good changes lets hope she is able to make things happen. the school needs a great deal of parental support that it lacks, in order to make this school better.
