This school is just great, excellent teachers and administrators, everyone is ready to help My daughter is a freshman and she is very happy to be there. The work is hard but there are plenty of fun after school activities.I also like the diversity of the school NY is in need of more schools like Brooklyn Latin.

My daughter is a freshman at Brooklyn Latin and loves her school as do I. The teachers are dedicated and engage the students, and the principal is a true visionary. The atmosphere is warm, yet serious. The work is rigorous, but teachers have office hours and there is ample help for anyone who needs it. It is also one of the few IB high schools in New York. I'm thrilled that we ended up at TBLS, it is truly an undiscovered gem.

They truly challenge your child, in so many ways. I went to Stuyvesant, but opted to send my son here, and I am thoroughly pleased. Jason Griffiths is the most caring and involved principal a student or parent could ask for. Incredibly, ALL the teachers are enthusiastic and seem to really be in it for the kids. The school is small, which is both a plus and a minus. Overall, I don't believe you'll find a better public high school experience than here at TBLS!!!

I love my school. I believe my school is definately life changing in the sense that we are forced to do things that we arent comfortable with. For example, by giving us the opportunity to have socratic seminars and declamation, we learn how to speak publically. The socratic method allows us to ask questions and answer our peer's questions to help us understand the inside and outside of any topic at hand.

Brooklyn Latin has the most dedicated and young teachers around. The students work extremely hard and the enviroment is very friendly and enthusiastic about learning. Basicly, we're all a bunch of nerds having a good tiime together.

Great principal and very, very good discipline and leadership. I love the small school environment and the dedication of the teachers. The principal has really honed in on what it takes to have an excellent curriculum and a great school.

TBLS is amazing! Although my son is a freshman, I've been truly impressed with his first couple of months at Brooklyn Latin. The teachers are dedicated at making sure your child reaches his/her fullest potential. Office hours are held after school (every teacher stays) for students who need a little extra help or maybe didn't understand something earlier during class. My son's global history made him stay after school, she felt he could have put more effort into his homework assignment (the very same assignment I said he rushed through the night prior) Unbelievable! I am more than certain that I made the right decision allowing my son to attend TBLS.

Brooklyn Latin is an amazing school. The students are dedicated and the teachers are more than willing to help. If a student is struggling the guidance counselor, as well as the teacher of that class, will work hard to find a tutor. The teachers listen if there is any type of problem. The students also go on frequent college visits, and in the freshman year the students go to Boston to see the Boston Latin School, as well as other colleges and some of the sights. This is school has its pros and cons, but more pros than cons.

This is a wonderful school. As you know it is a very prestigious Specialized High School, where the students indulge in Latin courses and other subject. The students here are very brilliant and took the test and passed with flying colors to attend the school. The school is excellent, have your child take the test and put this school on their list and you most definitely won't regret one bit of your decision.
