This school is the poorest performing elementary school in Kenmore. They have great difficulty in keeping administrative staff at this school having gone through 3 principals in 2 years time, and the current principal is only in her position because her husband also is employed by the district. The irst 3 1/2 years we were affiliated with this school we had no issues..my older son attended and is typically developing. We enrolled my middle son there in 2010 in kindergarten, and while his kindergarten staff was excellent, several other teachers, mainly the gym teachers made life difficult for him because they do not tolerate children with special needs well. The gym teachers harrassed him verbally on more than one occassion, and we pulled both boys from the school Dec. 2011, and enrolled them in private school, and could not be happier with our decision. Roosevelt elementary school is the worst choice for a kenmore school, and if a parent is asked to place their children there, they should ask about open enrollment,. and try to get their children into Lindbergh, which is an excellent Kenmore school!
