Cairo-Durham has proven to be a top-notch school district. I feel confident that my son is safe while at school. Tthe school principal maintains strict policies for academics and behavior while being firm but fair. He is visible in the hallways, outside when students depart for buses, school dances, etc.. I could not ask more from the teachers. They are very involved with the success of their students. They encourage and motivate students. They spend time at school after hours to help students, address parent questions or concerns, chaperone dances, etc. I appreciate that the teachers work together as a team to discuss students' strengths and weaknesses and how better to help them. The school offers music, band, art, variety of sports, plays, and after-school help. I am truly delighted with the Cairo-Durham School District and feel fortunate that we chose it when we moved.
