Little River Community School (LRCS) offers K-12 education in a setting that encourages individual growth through personalized educational plans and family involvement. We choose the school because the curriculum is not standardized. The curriculum allows for freedom in learning about topics that interest the individual student and at the same time address all academic areas. Our family finds the school to be very nurturing, open to family involvement and ideas, and a wondeful learning environment.

Little River's motto 'Have your child come home happy' isn't just a saying; it's a reality. Our sons love Little River. Every day is filled with wonder and a sense of discovery. Our sons rush to school and are reluctant to leave when the day is done. They are allowed to think for themselves, problem solve, debate, learn and grow in an environment that is safe and non-judgmental.

Little River Community School offers support to our daughter as she completes an independent study high school program. She attends one day per week to take tests. She has also taken advantage of an opportunity to take a course at a local university, art lessons, swimming lessons, and performing in a school play. We are very pleased with the willingness of the school to work with our daughter's interests. This school offers a lot of flexibility, within a peaceful, loving and tolerant environment.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
