CES is special because it is small. It seems so obvious that a small school with a small community and small class size produces happy, healthy and well-educated children. Why schools keep getting bigger when smaller always proves better is so confusing to me. I would love CES to have the money and programs other schools have, but I can be buzzed into my daughter's school and know everyone involved in my daughter's education by name. I can help as much as is needed in the classroom, be an important part of committees that serve the school and children, and greet the principal in the hallway by first name because that's how "present" and available she is to faculty, family, and students alike.
This school is amazing as is the staff. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff is and so willing to work with parents.
Chester Elementary is a brilliant school...They have the best teachers and monitors. My two kids attended the school and loved it and now my daughter absolutely adores her teachers and her friends.
Chester Elementary is a wonderful school because my child loves it. It is a family oriented community. Chester is an expensive place to live but the school is actually what keeps me here.
I love the attention the children have and the great teachers that help the children succeed. My granddaughter has only improved with her education.
Chester Elementary is a very good school with great teachers. We are now a NYS award winning school and very proud!!!
Chester elementary is a very good elementary school. They have a very good sports programs and many extracurricular activities. The parents are very involve in the children school activities. The school is very good in arts and math. The school is very safe and the discipline is very good. The teachers are very nice.
This school is definitely a work in progress. The class sizes are small and I believe it is the principals intent to keep them small. I would expect better academic scores since the class sizes are small but something is missing and the scores continue to be below state average. The principal is the force behind trying to make this a great school. She is very motivated and dedicated. There are many school activities such as a newspaper club, Girl Scouts, Band etc. If willing to take a risk and wait and see I think this school has the potential to produce academic students.
