First I would like to say that when I was a child I attended Fleetwood Elementary School. My experience with Fleetwood as a parent, with my son has been great, his teachers were excellent. With my daughter I've had a horrible experience with her first grade teacher. I do not understand it was like it was her first time as a teacher. She did not have control of her students, there where times when my child would come home in tears because of what was going on in the classroom. I would talk it over the teacher and the principal and it seemed to get better but at this point, thank goodness she doesn't have that teacher anymore.
Mrs. Simmons, the principal, takes the time to know each child and delivers educational requirements on a high note. She is focused on developing and nurturing the children. She has set the standard for principals in this district. Many parents that have moved on to Eldorado miss the loving hand she had in raising our children.
