If Waldorf education interests you, Green Meadow is an excellent school. It's set within the context of a working community, a college, senior living, anthroposophic medicine, biodynamic agriculture. The meaning of wholistic education takes on a new perspective here. And because the school is such a central part in this community, it receives the support and attention of many - parents, community leaders, teachers, even retired residents - all caring and keeping it healthy and strong.

Teachers know each student more deeply than at most schools I have seen and focus not only on excellence in their specific discipline but on development of the whole child. The secure foundation given to students at Green Meadow encourages them to fully develop their talents. The school is best for children who love learning and who are self starters. Graduates tend to be creative and flexible in whatever discipline they choose.

Different it is. Life at the school is not so much sheltered as supportive, secure and like the friendships, a memory that carries one in difficult times and is the source of strength to survive and contribute. Like a plant which is sheltered from bad weather, the child grows strong and when the time comes for contribution to society, Waldorf pupils are among the few which are ready to give and succeed.

This school is different. If you want your child to lead a sheltered life and have no idea of what is going on in the world..then send them to GMWS. A good thing is that they will make friendships that will last them a lifetime. Students become very very very close that they are almost like family. Also they will go on class trips which are extremely fun educating. It also helps them bond with their classmates. If you are looking for a school out of the ordinary to send your child to this is the perfect one.
