Very understanding teachers. They provided a wealth of insight on having school kids enjoy schooling.
Educational quality is top and teachers are stimulated with activities and projects for their students.
I have twins now in PBHS that spent all six years in Pakanasink. I cannot imagine having sent my babies to a better school in their early years. They were always in separate classes so each year I got to experience half the teachers for that grade. I never had an issue with any faculty or staff member in any year. Their dedication and care for all students was forever evident. They often had creative events that both enthused and benefited them as well. They even have a pool so the children can learn to swim. Both girls are top students so they will have academic success in any school, this was not my concern. I wanted their early school years to be happy and secure as well as productive and no public school could have done a better job. I salute you, PAK. Thank you.
In 2006 I moved to Orange County from Rockland County. I was very concerned about removing my daughter from the Catholic school she attend from kindergarten through third grade. However, she entered Pakanasink in fourth grade and the adjustment has been wonderful. The principal/teachers were great and they worked very hard in promoting every child's ability to learn. I was very thrilled to learn about the swimming, and music classes which my child was not exposed to before. PAK is Pantastic. Keep up the good work.
Pakanasink is a wonderful elementary school. The last of my three children is about to move on to the middle school; we will miss being part of the PAK 'family.' The teachers are committed to providing a quality education/experience for the children; many have been with the school for years. The curriculum includes music and swimming -- all of my children learned to play an instrument. Their is a sense of pride that permeates the PAK community, which has only increased throughout the years. Both the past and current principals have worked extremely hard to provide a unique, nurturing, and progressive learning environment for both the children and their teachers. In my opinion, the Pine Bush School District is among the best.
Pakanasink is a great school. All three of my children have gone to school there and have benefitted from hard-working, creative teachers and a small, family like atmosphere. The teachers strive for excellence and work hard to maintain high standards. My children have all been in small classrooms-my youngest has 16 students in her third grade class. Children with special needs are placed in which they work with non-special ed. students and are not removed for services. The school gym program is great with swimming for each class for one trimester in the school swimming pool. the PTA and the school work hard at promoting community involvement. Being at 'PAK' has been a wonderful experience for our family.
I am very pleased with the education my child is receiving at the school. The staff is dedicated and show great concern. My child has been very sucessful and shows an eagerness to learn due to the support and great influence of the faculty.
