This is our first year in public school, and we LOVE Indian Hollow. The teachers, the principal, the program - all are excellent. It is a wonderful unifying force in this community.

This is my daughters second year at Indian Hollow (1 st grade), up to now I have been very pleased with the school, teachers, Principle and the PTA members. This is a school where parents and teachers are involved. My daughter loves Indian Hollow, enjoys going to school.

Inidan Hollow is part of what makes Commack a community. The strong connection between parents and teachers/staff is beneficial for the students and allows the parents to play an active role in their children's education. Our youngest has just begun and we are looking forward to her blossoming academically as did our oldest. We moved to Commack for the schools and we could not be more pleased with Indian Hollow. Friendships have blossomed for both our children and us and we are proud of the educational foundation that our children are forming at Indian Hollow.

This is a fantastic school and my children LOVE it...although most school districts are riddled with politics I would have to say IH has its share of politics, but more importantly it has a lot of parental 'clicks'...especially with the PTA...ugh...but I guess that's to be expected. Otherwise, academically, I love the school, the teaching methodologies, etc.

There is a true sense of community at Indian Hollow. The teachers and staff are dedicated and hands-on with the children and keep the parents well involved. Having my first child start school at IH has been a wonderful experience.

The parents in this school are very involved and work together with the school to make it a possitive experience for the children.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.
