This school district has declined steadily over the past decade. The middle and high school are housed in one building, so the younger kids are privy to the bad behavior of the older kids. There is incessant bullying which staff turns a blind eye to and the test scores are just deplorable. The school administration is not interested in keeping the kids safe from bullies nor in keeping quality teachers. The declining federal aid has forced the school to lay off new teachers after only a year on the job and some of them teachers who were assets to the school. The school is big on athletics but poor in academics. Sadder still, they don't promote a healthy respect for the parent/child relationship. I am now happily homeschooling my 8th grader. FYI, the middle school is now grades 7-8. 6th grade has become part of the elementary school due to lack of space at middle/high school.

The quality of the academic program is poor, overall. Teachers are unable and/or unwilling to teach with the child's individual learning style in mind. Students are not respected for their individuality. Bullying is not addressed adequately. There are very few extracurricular activities for children who aren't athletically inclined. I had to hire a tutor to augment my child's teaching. School district disinterested in parents who advocate in their children's best interest. Principal is sadly out of tune with what these children need. Don't send your child to this school.
