Unfortunately, I have to agree with the previous post. Kids aren't challenged enough. Kids lack stimulating programs like a student of the month or program for gifted and talented that are used widely in other districts. As you can read on CET website, the math score of 66.7 is considered as "far exceeded state averages." If the principal thinks that way, I don't think we can expect any change or improvement in the quality of education. Parents aren't even aware what is going on in other school district, hence they don't demand the change either. I'm highly disappointed. If you can, stay away from CET.

We have two children both of whom went through CET. Similar to other schools in this 3 school district, I think this school is just average. There is so much room for improvement. Consistency is a big problem as well as leadership and vision. I think there are big problems with relying on curriculum programs and I've found that both my kids were missing foundational skills as they entered middle school. There are no mechanisms to challenge and enrich students that are operating above grade level. It is a nurturing and caring environment with a diverse student body. Facilities could use improvement and parent involvement is spotty. There is no foreign language program but the music program is strong. Overall, definitely average as opposed to exceptional in our opinion.
