We are relatively new to the school system. It is not open to parents visiting the class rooms. No drama club. Almost no special trips for the children, this area is rich in educational opportunities they should take advantage of it. The secretary is very friendly and helpful but the principal can learn a bit about friendliness. The reading and science programs are awful! It is hard to get extra help.

The administration staff at HBE should consider adopting alternative methods of teaching geared towards the 21st century. We (my husband and I) feel they can be more welcoming to parents. It is great that younger teachers are adding new techniques to this rural district, but more support and a sense of friendliness can be extended by the principal.

For a small town school Hamilton Bicentenial is very up to date tech-wise the staff and teachers are very proffesional and class sizes are perfect for an elemenery school. There are not very many extra curricular activities though and it does not offer a summer camp program.

Very poor science curriculum. No science projects, no science fair. I was very disappointed after coming from the city from a school where the children started participating in the science fair in second grade. The principal is very 'old school' and not interested in keeping up with the times.

This school does not make parents feel welcome or seem to encourage you to be a part of your childs schooling. Teachers I have meet or heard of are not very friendly to parents or child.

I have a child in the 4th grade. He started in the 2nd grade in this school system. Over all I am pleased with his progress though I think children in all schools should be learning more than they are. Our country really lacks when it comes to the education department. The government needs to spend more money to educate our children and pay our educators. But like I said I really do like this school, it is quaint and friendly.
