Great school! My children have excelled here. The teachers are fabulous and are really there for the kids. I'm not crazy about the principal, I don't think that Elementary school is really her "thing", but that is a small issue. I have been very pleased with the education my kids have received.

As a parent of children who were involved in the 1st redistricting, we ended up at Genet, much to our dislike. After 5 years in the school, we had hoped to see some improvement, unfortunately, we're still waiting. This school does not pay close attention to students who are struggling, however they place the blame elsewhere rather than investigating why a child is struggling. More often than not, it is a parents responsibility to obtain outside help for their struggling student. What a disappointment! Prior to the redistricting we were in Green Meadow Elementary, where they always monitored students closely, and gave appropriate help to struggling students! Seems strange that within the same district, you can have such major differences. Are we failing our children?

Very good school, with a caring team of teachers and assistants. As a volunteer with K and 5th grade, I have seen the students in action. The students seem to enjoy Genet and their teachers. The school plans excellent field trips and activities. The Parent Organization is very strong, and does a great job of fundraising. The Principal was new to Genet in 2002, and did a wonderful job. I look forward to a great 2003 year!
