My son is graduating from 51st Avenue Academy this year and I wish he could stay next year! It's a wonderful school, very small, with a very nurturing staff. My son is in special ed (an inclusion class) and this school has done so much for him and I've seen him grow so much in the last year specifically because of it. Wonderful teachers, guidance counselors, paras, admin staff, everyone... even the principal is down to earth and caring! Anyone with the opportunity to have their child attend should take advantage.

My child went to a Catholic school until G-5 where she enrolled in 51st Ave Academy 2007. So that was her first experience with NYC Public School and she loved it. The breakfast was great and lunch was much better. Dr E is such a caring and warm principal. She treated her staff well and fair. The staff are working together for the kids. The kids are all right. With uniforms and well behaved, they are a sight to see at the school grounds. It is a small school and maybe that is why it is so good. Highly recommended. 5 STARS. parent of G5 2007-2008
