Southside High School

I was a student at South side High School and I felt as if they could have done a better job as far as discipline goes, but overall they did an excellent job. The teachers are among the best and no others could top the ones I had while I was there. The teacher actually care, they teach not only the context of the class but they also teach us how to prepare for the rest of our life's.

unfortunately at this school only two groups of students get noticed; the ones who cause all the trouble, and the ones whose parents or relatives are well known. The school is large in size but operates as if it forgets that fact and as if it were a small school. Everyone in the midlle of those two groups gets left behind.

I love Southside - it is the best place to go to get both academics and extra curricular educations. The teachers really care and the students are focused. It is a hgih school so the same issues apply as to any - but overall great!

I think this school is great the teachers are really nice, I been at this school for going on four years when I graduate I know I'll look back on all the good memories.

Ima a parent, I don't feel the school is doing enough to insure our children's safety, my daughter has been bullied since she walked into the doors there. I also don't feel they offer enough support for these children, in the long run the effects are damaging and they feel its the parents duty to control and fix the problems occurring in the schools, also it would be nice if they'd up date their policies.

I Think Southside High School is great! We live in the Elmira Free Academy district. I have a 16 yr old son. SHS has the block classes, and it is so much easier for the students.
