I am a student teacher at Parley Coburn Elementary School. The teachers create a friendly atmosphere that welcomes students and parents. The teachers are devoted to the students' learning 100%, and maintain an expectation of respect and responsibility amoung the students.

When my daughter began kindergarten in the fall of 2005, I was a little apprehensive. The school is not in the best part of the city. (Of course neither is our house, unfortunately). She loved kindergarten, she made many friends. Her teacher; Mrs. Hartman was amazing. She is in 1st grade now, Miss. Earley is her teacher. My daughter is thriving. Miss. Earley is an Amazing teacher. She is kind to all. The teachers at Coburn are caring and kind to everyone.

The results for English language arts and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles and the science results will be added when they are released in the Fall of 2013. The tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of New York.
