I am proud to be a parent of two ESD students. The curriculum is strong and the teachers are personable with great class sizes and student attention at the elementary level. There is not a greast deal of good publicity that this school district gets and I think that it is a shame. There is too much negative hearsay about the climate and make-up of the schools from people who do not know first hand. I don't know what people are afraid of when they decide not to send their children to ESD. I pulled my kids from an area parochial school because of the outdated curriculum there. Anyone who knows anything about education understands that teh ESD is a good place to be and moving forward in the right direction. Kudos to students and staff of ESD.!
Mr. Warders the principle is the most careless and anti-child principle I have ever had the discourteous to meet. While the teachers are dedicated and hard working the principal sets the standards. Currently the Superintendent has left and the assistant superintendent has just been dismissed. This does not bode well for the students. For a small school it is a bit disappointing. The class sizes are also rather large 20+; I suspect this is due to lack of space.
