I have had three children attend this school so far. Each child was different, and each was successfully directed to help and faculty specific to his/her temperament. The learning tools they were given helped them design a productive future for themselves, The labs and tech classes are very impressive and the teachers for core subjects are well trained, highly experienced, and have a genuine gift for transferring knowledge to children of all sorts. The sports programs are impressive, and welcome children of all levels of experience to participate in teams with excellent instruction. Well done!

I have to say I really like the school. There is alot of activities for the kids. The sports department is intense and the kids seem to enjoy the challenge. The teachers and parents are involved which is why this school succeeds. My son had been struggling in school until we came her and they noticed immediately that there was a problem. He got some services and is now doing much better. They do well on their state tests. The school is nurturing, challenging and safe. In the 3 years my son was here I very rarely heard of any incidents..There is no tolerance for bullying or disruption. My son was involved with Project Respect and sports. They have won championships too. I am more than happy with this school and district.

I am an 8th grader about to leave the Elwood Middle School. The school has pushed us to be the best we can be.They have hired very good teachers who will work one on one with you if you need it.The principal works to learn every student's name and always welcomes suggestions from parents or students. They have amazing music teachers and coaches. Our school performs very well at concerts and sport games. The PTA has helped each grade with raising money for us.The Elwood Middle School has made each of us more confident and smart. For more information visit our school's website at http://www.elwood.k12.ny.us/schools/elwoodms.asp

Elwood is a great school in a great community. The class size is not too small, but not huge. Our school was recently renovated with new windows, doors, bathrooms, and science labs. Our high school is a two time state championship for volleyball and a state championship for basketball.

A gem among gems! The caring principal and teachers make this a fantastic place to learn. Almost every parent in our district recognizes this school to be a very special place. There is a varied range or programs, from the accelerated curriculum to a great special ed programs.

I am satisfied with the way most of teachers are eager for the students to succeed. The principal is very attentive and helpful. I am extreamly impressed at the way they enforce discipline and try to make the school safe for the children.
