We miss the old Darchei Torah now it's all about Money Money Money and politics!!!!!!!!

Posted September 8, 2011

This Yeshiva has unfortunately lost touch with the standards of the Torah of which it was built upon. The administration judges both students and parents by how "black" their hat is and whiteness of their shirts. Many graduates leave the JHS program without having the basic ability of translating a pasuk Chumash let alone a daf Gemara. This once great institution has gotten too big for it's own good. While some of the individual rebbeim are amazing people, the overall atmosphere is run by politics and money.

I was very sorry to leave Darchei when we moved out of town. This yeshiva is incredible, from the rosh yeshiva (headmaster) to the newest assistant teacher. They all know all the boys, and they care about them deeply. YDT is on the cutting edge of education not only in limudei kodesh but also in secular studies, and goes the extra mile(s) to ensure that they meet the needs of all the students, even those who are not academically inclined. The leadership has vision, is proactive, and is incredibly responsive and kind. Nothing but wonderful things to say about this school and community.

I am thrilled to be a part of this school because it is a school with a soul. From the administration down, each staff member cares for the whole child and sees the child for the individual that he is. They work tirelessly to provide each child with an excellent education - whether they child is fully producttive or handicapped in some way . They care about the child even outside the school setting and strive to make sure all his needs are met. It is truly a marvelous educational institution.

I feel that Yeshiva Darchei Torah offers one of the best acedamic opportunities to children in the Tri State area. The wonderful staff, incredible courses and parent involvment are just some of the charachteristics that make Yeshiva Darchei Torah a shining example of success in the field of education. Just looking at their expansive campus can offer a glimpse into the wide range of activities that take place herin.I certainly give it a two thumbs up.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
