We just recently moved out of state and I cannot say enough about how much we miss Lynwood! My daughter who is currently in 2nd grade was getting a phenomenal education at Lynwood along with school and community spirit! The principal, teachers and staff all know the children by name, and truly take an interest in them! The homework she gets in her new school is what she was doing last year at Lynwood, she is no longer being challenged to her mind's potential! I always felt the work was far advanced at Lynwood for her age, but never minded the homework, because I knew she was getting a great education and learning so much!! I am actually considering moving back for just this reason! So here's to her wonderful Teachers and Principal at Lynwood! Thank You for everything!! We truly Miss You!!

I suppose this school would be fine as long as you have a "typical" child and fit into their mold. Unfortunately, for your child to be noticed, he or she needs to fail or have frequent severe behavioral issues. The school is not trained to recognize and develop appropriate programs for Auditory Processing Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, etc. Most of my daughter's teachers had no idea what PDD-NOS is. I would not recommend this school or district for children with special needs.

I want to comend lynwood ave school for all the time the teachers put into the children our principal is the best around he is hands on with the kids the children and parent respect him and look up to him. I have to say when My children were going into lynwood I heard terible things about the school I am happy to say that I have found absolutly nothing wrong with this school I wish all schools could have the love the compasion and the drive that the teachers parents and all staff members have in this school. we have a great PTA parents are friendly and always looking for ways to enhance the childrens school experiences and so do the teachers and staff. So no matter what you hear take it with a grain of salt. You will never find a better place for your children to learn.
