This school offers very warm and cordial student family environment. It is very easy to talk to teachers and administrators to address concerns parents might have. Events are well planned to accommodate working families. This school not only focuses on students academic development but offers activities for students to be well rounded and adjusted for Middle School. Very warm and supportive environment.

This school is very crowded; there is no science teacher on staff. The teacher and administrative staff are not friendly. School does not offer any advance classes

PS191Q has a strong PTA and helps fund several additional activities for the students from in-house after school activities to field trips. The proactive administrative staff, including the Principal and the Parent Coordinator, are very helpful, highly visible, and responsive to parents and students and seem to know most of them by name. The teaching staff are capable and friendly and the school has a warm atmosphere about it. It is decorated with the children's art work and is very clean and well organized. Academically, the children are challenged and seem to be doing very well. There is music and art, computer lab, and the kids still get their recreation time which is vital. Another big plus is that they have not installed snack/soda vending machines. I am very pleased with PS191Q and recommend it. I feel my daughter is safe there, welcomed, and following a good curriculum.

A small neighborhood public school with one of the best citywide test scores. There is senior and junior choruses which is rare among city schools.
