My son hates this school. If you are on the football or basketball team there's plenty to do but if you are just an average nonathletic kid, then social events don't even exist. They make all these promises about how they have all these social things for the boys to do that include girls but they don't. One dance in the beginning of ninth grade. One. And none after that. What's the point of having a sister school? St. Francis Prep. Your child will be fine. The rumors there are over the top. I wish I had picked there.

Now that Mr. Joseph Giannuzzi will no longer be principal as of 9/2013, I pray the school does not go downhill. He is/was a great principal and will be greatly missed! On another note, it concerns me that there is no PTA here, no PTA fundraising and no student events that do no require payment directly out of the parents' pockets.

This is one of the best Catholic High School in the Northeast! The Principal is outstanding and the staff is professional and caring. The school atmosphere radiates learning and enjoyment. I am a proud parent of two HCHS students who received an exceptional education. Our family misses the experiences in such a fine school. It is money well spent!

My son has just started Holy Cross and we love it!!! My son just loves going to school. It is a great thing when a child loves going to school. I love how the school gets parents so involved and keep us up-to-date with everything.

My son graduated from Holy Cross in 2007. The school is an excellent environment to help mold young men to become responsible adults. The curriculum is outstanding, the teachers and staff are very accomodating. Your son will not 'get lost' in this school. Discipline is strictly enforced! Mr. G. is great!!

Holy Cross High School has been great for my son as well as myself. After he finished 8th grade I had no clue where to send him. Holy Cross came to mind, and thank God it did. He is dong well and has adjusted wonderfully to the school. Three cheers for Mr.G as well as Mr.Forte, a guidance counselor. Any complaints or problems and they dont skip a beat to help. My son is thriving, enjoying his school experience but more importantly he is getting a top notch education that is second to none.Holy Cross is definitely worth the money spent. You wont regret it.

My son is a graduate of the class of 2003. Prior to attending Holy Cross my son was a uninspired student, he didnt care one way or the other about school. Holy Cross was a positive experience for him, the teachers and staff were supportive and experienced. My son loved this school and never missed a day. Mr. G the principal runs a tight ship that provides a safe enviorment. It was worth any sacrifice made so my son could attend this school.

My four son's Maurice, Hickman , Michael and Anthony have learned a great deal while attending Holy Cross High School of Flushing. This school gave them a great opportunity to excel in their school progress and Iam greatly satisfied. I Highly reccommended those to attend Holy Cross for recognition in the extra-curricular activity Basketball.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
