School looks like a dump, has been likened to a prison. Some teachers are nice but most aren't. Visitors are unwelcome, especially those from Freeport High School. I know some from the high school hang around there causing after school chaos, but some of the good people want to see their former teachers and get turned away by security. You can somehow (on Back to School night if you have a sibling attending at the current time) try to see your teachers, only to find out most of them have left 2-3 years later. Many teachers don't want to stay there. Parents will pay anything not to send their kids there.

As a parent of a 7th grader at Dodd I must say that I have been very pleased with my daughters performance. Not only does she love her teachers, she is having a great time during her beginning years as a teen. Her grades have been outstanding!

The school has no protocol to prepare the children for higher education or educate the children on what to do to prepare higher learning.
