I am a student at DHS and I strongly reccomend it. We have great teachers who are there for their love of teaching. They care about all of us. I don't know how DeSales was in 2004, but we do have a great principal who is doing his best to support the school. I don't know how our technology is 'drastically outdated.' There are more than enought computers and laptops in the lab, library, and classrooms for us to use. DeSales may be small, but that's not a bad thing. It's class sizes are just right, and we do have many courses to choose from. With the centennial of DeSales approaching, I hope that the enrollment increases so that more students can be DeSales Saints.

I don't recommend this school at the current time. It's drastically behind in technology and the professionalism. The technology is drastically outdated, and we had to use outdated computers with slow internet speed, which hinders in-class research. Secondly, the lack of a real special education program at this school is appalling. The previous administration was very two-faced about this, claiming that they could meet my special needs, when in fact, they couldn't, and would not attempt to without prodding. Father Grasso was a terrible principal. Miss Capuano wasn't any better as assistant principal, and was too concerned with being a the students' friend then actual, effective, discipline. Now that Father Grasso and Miss Capuano [are gone], perhaps this school will get a real administration. The school board dropped the ball last time.

Tthis school was much better years ago. The new principal and the athletic director are tearing this school apart. The sports programs are shuttering and the student body is dwarfing. After graduating from this high school you will not be ready for college. This school is a joke, the new administration is more concerned about dress codes and such instead of worrying about good teachers and how the current teachers are: new at teaching, unreliable, dissatisfying, and unable to control classes, not to mention bad at teaching the courses. As a former student at DeSales I stongly urge against this school.
