Although I think that the programs, teachers and education that is available at the middle school is excellent, the fact that there is no transportation for any middle school students is terrible! It is very dangerous and there should be alternatives for children, at least in 6th grade.

Gloversville Middle School is a great school. THe homework policy there is tough, but it enforces homework. Here are the homework steps. Student comes to class unprepared, student to stay 2:20 to 2:50 p.m. Parent notified via phone or letter. Same as step one Student comes to class unprepared a third time: Student stays with teacher 2:20 to 2:50 p.m., and parent notified via phone and letter. Parent-student-teacher conference scheduled. Student comes to class unprepared a fourth time: Student assigned 3:20 p.m. detention, parent notified. Student comes unprepared a fifth time: Student assigned 4:00 p.m. detention, parent notified. Student comes unprepared a sixth time: Student assigned a 5:20 p.m. detention, parent notified. Like I said, it's tough, but it works. You should really send your child to this school because it is a great school. The only thing I hate is that the students never find out about after school events until the same day.
