I visited this school with my son who is on the spectrum but very high functioning. We visited over the summer when there weren't any students present in the building. I was blown away by the building itself and the grounds and the atmosphere so I accepted a spot there for my son. Once kids are there, it is a COMPLETELY different environment. The type of child that makes up the majority of this school struggles with severe behavior issues and a portion of the population is made up of "residential" students who live on site. The unstructured way things are run there might be necessary for these types of students, but in my son's case, I felt it was a negative and almost dangerous environment for him. Great teachers... but visit when the students are present for a more accurate picture of what the school is about.
This school has it's own little community where it clicks with a 'certain kind'. The more you give the church the better the school will love you??
Milestone school in fleetwood mt. vernon is a school that is very high in price but not very high in education.
