My daughters' first day of kindergarten took her to Sherman School and she continues to be a student there, just now entering the 4th grade. The teachers are more than helpful and accessible and provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere that I am very happy with. Every day that she goes off to school I am at ease knowing that she is going to a place that has a great staff dedicated to all of the children. A new principal has also recently brought a new level of excitement, activities and pride to the school.

I am a student of the Rush Henrietta senior high school. I formerly attended this school and I greatly enjoyed it. The teachers (at least as far as I know) were excellent and kept in touch with my parents too. I got help with everything I ever needed, and the teachers all had their own unique style of teaching. One particular teacher would do magic tricks for the students on special occasions. The school was great and I would reccomend it to any parents, please your children will have fun while learning the skills they will use for the rest of their lives.

I had two children who attended this school. They both have learning disabilities in reading. The resources available are wonderful but I would suggest a different reading program be implemented for dyslexic children which is the problem my children have. The reading programs did not seem to help my children that much, although teachers were wonderful and tried very hard. The regular ed teachers are fantastic for the most part. The parent/teacher communication is good. This is a wonderful school and I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of sending their child here.

I have 2 children currently in 3rd and 1st grades who have both needed extra academic assistance while attending Sherman. The teachers have been wonderful in helping my children to improve and succeed and have given them all possible resources to do so. I have also met with them on several occasions and they have given me excellent insight on how I can assist them at home. During a couple of personal issues with my family and I the staff was extrmeely supportive and assisted in every way possible. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff at this school - they really go the extra mile to assist the children and their families!
