Both of my children attended St.Francis de Sales pre-k program starting when they were 2 years old. We loved the pre-k program and when it expanded to allow for a full day 4 year old option we took advantage. As a result of our positive experience in the pre-k program, we enrolled our children in the K-6 program. We have found the school enviroment to be very caring and accessible. The faculty set high academic standards and do all they can to ensure that the students meet them. My children are very happy here and I would highly recommend this school. The tution is definitley an investment not an expense!
As a parent, this school has everything that you would want for your child: dedicated and caring faculty, a strong academic record that includes very high NYS test scores, excellent student to teacher ratio that allows for more individual attention and a focus on family values.
In our eyes this is the best elementary and middle school in southern Herkimer County. Our son just loves it. We cannot say enough good things about it. The teachers take great pride not only in teaching the curriculum, but also in teaching the children moral values and respect for self and others. This is something that is especially important in today's society. This is one of the few remaining places where children are still taught the importance of family values and respect. The importance of moral character and family is shown in the caring attitudes of all parents and teachers. It truly is teaching by example both in school and also at home. This school is truly a gem in the community. If anyone is interested in obtaining information about this school they should go to the school's website: www.stfrancisherkimer.com
The care and parent involvement is very good. The teachers are all very good at what they do. Sister Rosile is a very good principal. The 7th & 8th grades are right up there in math, science and reading.
