Hands down- the best Catholic school on the island. Holy Trinity is more than a learning, it's a family that values community above all else. While having reputable sports teams, strong AP and honors level courses, insightful teachers, and a theater department that compares to none other, Trinity instills valuable life lessons and Christian teachings applicable in every day life. Students regularly gain acceptances to top tier universities. Getting involved in the Trinity community is easy and beyond rewarding. The principal shows up to most every school event. I HIGHLY recommend Holy Trinity to any parent who wants their child to have a successful and enjoyable high school experience.

As a PARENT who had many choices for my high achieving, sports-orientated child, we were recommended to Holy Trinity based on it's superior reputation, dedicated educators, and the strong leadership of the administration. Apparently good grammar is also instilled over and above that of a public school education. We are grateful to be able to provide this opportunity for our child.

As a former student I couldn't recommend this school to anyone. Parents would send their kids from all over the island from districts as far as 15 miles away. Never made any sense too me. Long island has good public schools some excellent. Some students were expelled from other catholic schools in the area and trinity would accept them. This is something other catholic schools would not do including the ones they came from. A lot of kids who went there misbehaved and bullying was common. I was attacked my freshman year and they said nothing could be done because I waited three days too report. I was embarrassed that it happened and that's why I had waited. I really should have left earlier than I did and I regret my decision. Some students claimed they didn't take the catholic high school entrance exam too get in. I cannot confirm this is true but it surprised me. I would recommend parents choose another private school or just go to public school. I went too public school after and I thought the education was the same if not better in some cases. If catholic schools were a better choice at one point seems like they are not now.

Renowned for offering numerous, challenging AP courses to qualified students; excellent preparation for college; students bonded in family atmosphere; great principal.

This school has it all: Smaller classes, AP programs for entry into the better universities, truly dedicated teachers, intelligent attitudes, amazing clubs for the children, impressive fields, and well established sports programs. Keep up the great work! Far better than KMS in Uniondale so definitely better than other Catholic schools. Our commute is further but well worth it!

holy trinity high school cannot be compared with other catholic high schools. they are literally an glorify hicksville high school. if you live in hicksville some people only use trinity cause of convenience. you should not. there discipline does not compare to the other catholic h.s.. they dont enforce them to go to mass. the students are not respectful. i have spoken to several parents and they all agree that there is no discipline. the way they dress for school sloppy and does not get them ready for college or the real world. so if your a catholic and looking for a good and decent high school make sure you check all aspects of the other schools. its your money and you want the best for your dollar, trinity is one of themost expensive high schools. if youlive in hicksville and your child wants trinity you might as well go tohicksvill high school.

Holy Trinity is the quintessential Catholic High School. It provides a dynamic combination of high academic standards (especially for students accepted into AP or Honors courses) and sound Christian discipline set in real-world situations (that is, co-ed and diverse enrollment.) Trinity's teaching staff is second-to-none! Their dedication and expertise are imparted to each student, regardless of Regents or Honors level. Honors students are encouraged to strive for Advanced Regents diplomas. Since our teachers do not prepare nor influence these comprehensive tests, they teach us how to apply the course information, and not just memorize it. Their devotion never waivered(even without a contract with the Diocese.) They continued to come in early and stay after school for anyone who wanted extra help. Holy Trinity is a family. HTHS is a complete Christian experience that fully prepared me for the challenges I'll have in college and thereafter.

Holy Trinity offers challenging Honors courses, taught by outstanding teachers who encourage and demand excellence. A/P courses further prepare qualified students for their college years. Spiritual guidance and a warm, family atmosphere are part of the total Trinity experience.

I was graduate many many years ago and absolutely loved my high school years. After moving away and returning to the area 4 years ago, I began to re-connect through the Alumni program and now my daughter will be attending this fall. I can honestly say that the loving and nurturing environment has not changed one bit since my days. I let my daughter make her own decision - we visited Our Lady of Mercy and St. Anthony's - she was completely sold on Trinity and I know that she will have the same unbelievable experience in high school that I had. I would recommend this school to anyone that wants a nurturing, warm, supportive and accepting environment for their children as they prepare for college.

Highly-competitive honors & A/P courses, with dedicated, highly-qualified, encouraging teachers. Holy Trinity is not just a 'school'; it's an 'experience' that prepares young men and women to face the challenges of college. Great friendships were formed during my years at HTHS. I will forever be grateful to my Trinity family.

I commend the meritorious service of HTHS teachers. After learning of Trinity's competitive Honors Program, I decided to accept the challenge. That was four years ago! The studies were rigorous, the teachers were demanding (but always fair and supportive), and my fellow-students were always competitive & spirited. I am proud to have become a strong Christian man who is prepared to meet the challenges that await me in college and in my adult life. Thank you to the entire Holy Trinity family.

Holy Trinity High School was the best decision we ever made for our child and is truly a top tier school offering excellent academics and a wonderful array of extra curricular activites. The Teachers at Holy Trinity go above and beyond. Holy Trinity Sports are top notch. Any child that attends Holy Trinity truly gets a well rounded education -religion, academics, extracurricular, many clubs, wonderful sports, terrific social experiences and a school that is a home away from home. If you are entertaining the thought of sending your child to Holy Trinity, think no further, Holy Trinity will afford your child a wonderful education, a terrific social life and a absolutely great High School experience.

Best choice we've ever made for our child -- and worth every penny of the tuition! Teachers are outstanding, and challenge the minds of the students; they are always 'there' for the students. There are so many courses to select from, providing a college-like atmosphere. Qualified students can take Honors Courses, and can later apply for Advanced or College Courses. The cultural diversity and co-ed enrollment adds to the enrichment of a student's complete education. Although academic success is Holy Trinity's priority, the numerous sports and club activities are strongly encouraged as part of a student's day. If you're looking for a competitive, high-quality education for your child, send him or her to Holy Trinity High School.

Holy Trinity is definately the best Catholic Hgh Shcool on Long Island. I know for a fact that they offer more Advanced Placement and College level courses than chaminade or kellenberg. Trinty also has far superior music and art programs. Athletics could use imprvement but disicpline learning and extracurricular activites are exceptional.

My daughter graduated from Holy Trinity in 2007, and absolutely loved her time there. Her education was top notch as are her friends made there. Advanced courses were recommended and offered. Great counselors and teachers. Parents are all involved and have imparted the same values of hard work and a great education, high moral standards as the school has on the students. Great school.

Very overrated school. A Roman Catholic school in a community with a large Italian population and it does not offer Italian. My son was disapointed with the music program. The public middle school has perhaps the best music program on long island. Public school also offers Italian and Latin - not offered at Trinity. Don't be fooled.

As a parent of a recent graduate who was accepted to 8 top tier colleges in the northeast, I credit the whole Holy Trinity community. Course offerings here are far superior to the other Catholic HS's on Long Island with AP courses so plentiful. One aspect of allowing the student to be in Honors in the subjects they excell in as opposed to the other Catholic HS's that label your freshman as Honors or not. Transition to college was great after graduation as this school provides numerous social and religious offerings to the child during those tough teen years so they know the real world outside of the Catholic coccoon. Guidance does a great job in realistically gearing you towards college and scholarships. Administration is always out in the hallways with the kids. Religion is geared toward the spirituality of teens - bless Trinity.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
