Trinity Lutheran School

The leadership has been lacking since many of the long term pastors and principle have passed or left the school. It will take many years for them to get back on track to excellence. Current leadership must change.

I have mixed emotions about this school. The classroom setting offers a "Stand and deliver" approach to learning. Small groups and individualized instruction is non-existent. Rarely does the teacher communicate concerns; however, if you contact the teacher, she will comply but does not offer student information on a "preventive level". The principal is too safe. TLS Staff should learn to "think out of the box a little more and accelerate each child' s potential to demonstrate exceptional performance.

Trinity Lutheran school is a great schol. The teachers are great with all the kids and help improve all kids education.

Im an 8th grader at trinity and this school is fun at times!..I love the pre -algebra math teacher shes very nice. When I graduate this june I will always remember trinity as a good school but also a fun one as well..GOO TRINITY BULLDOGS

I'm a 7th grader at trinity and I've been going there since 1st grade. I've learned so much. I've had amazing experiences and have met some great people. I like mist of the teachers some are not so great but overall they are amazing especially the math teacher. I love our principal. I like the fact that his door is always open. He's really nice. I've had some small problems but nothing that never was fixed. I love tinity and will always remember it once i graduate next year.

I am ikn eight grade and will be graduating at the end of June. This school is the best. I have been here since kindergarden and i love it and the teachers are the best and understanding. I will miss this school when i leave. I LOVE YOU TRINITY LUTHERAN SCHOOL.<3

Parents please think twice about this enrolling your child in this school. Bullying is a problem and doesnt seem to be addressed by the teacher as it should. My child had to be physcially hurt before the teacher would even accept this was happening. This stricks me as odd, since the teachers and staff since they treat all the children to be the same. Individuality is not cherised. They expect all the childrent to be from the same mold. Dont even consider it if your child has any type of learning problem or disability. I should have listened to my intuition, but instead I subjected my daughter to this. I'm happy she is not there anymore.

My children all graduated from Trinity Lutheran School and have fond memories. They were well prepared for high school and beyond because Trinity has a solid program with high academic and behavioral expectations. Character traits such as respect, honesty, responsibility, compassion, etc. are promoted and recognized. The faculty/staff are caring and very open to communication. The principal is a no nonsense kind of person who oversees good order and appropriate behavior...yet he is quite reasonable and understanding. If parents model respect for authority, are supportive of teachers, and oversee their child's study habits and assignments, they will be very pleased at Trinity and doing their kids a favor besides.

i go to the school its alright but if u act up in that school u wont succeed in it but if u face your books and listening to the teacher your school will be fun 8/1/08

This school works for me and my three kids! No place is perfect but I am pleased with how my kindegarten and second graders have progress this year. ECC is okay. My daughter was in the 3 year old program for three full days this year. It really is about social development. She is reading at home and I am fine with that. There will be more academic structure for her in the 4's. I have suggested to many of my friends that they come and check out the school. After doing her research, one of my friends has enrolled her daughter for kindergarten beginning Fall 2008!

I came to Trinity Lutheran after enduring two years at another parochial school closer to my home. (You don't have to be Lutheran to attend here, and most families aren't.) My children are flourishing at Trinity. They are challenged academically - their teachers won't let them get away with submitting work that isn't their best. The teachers at every level have been responsive and challenging, and demonstrate that they truly care about the success of each child entrusted to their care. I love that this school does not participate in the NYS tests - no teaching to the test! My children have had instruction in Spanish since the third grade, along with art, music, computer, and phys ed - my friends in the public schools can't believe it. Need proof of the quality of this school - look where the alumni go to high school. Worth every penny and then some.

I have two children in this school, and they love it. As an educator for many years, I am more than happy with the quality of education my children are getting. More importantly, I feel they have blossomed as kind, caring individuals. They are learning compassion, celebrating diversity and building a foundation for a successful future. What could be better than that.

My children currently attend Trinity Lutheran School. I am more than pleased with my decision to send them here. They have the benefit of having a high quality education, as well as a strong foundation of Christian morals and values. My children have required, at times, extra love and attention and have definitely gotten it here. I was the product of the public schools, and never understood the draw to the private sector. Now that I am involved in it, I can certainly see a difference!!! Trinity is a great investment in my children's futures!!

I used to love this school, but am now taking my two children out. They are not getting the standard of education provided by my local district. In fact they are 6-12 months behind. If you or your child has questions or conflicts they are ignored. Also, expect young teachers who lack experience and teaching skills, and who get no guidance from the principal. There is also no assistant principal; it is a one man show and he likes it that way, so it will never change. Run from this school.

My son attends the Early childhood center. I think the school would be great for a half day program, but the full day preschool is decietful. It's advertised as full day preschool, but there is a seperate class and teacher during the afternoon for the full day kids. Plus the afternoon session is more like day care than school.I don't like the fact that it was presented that way Teachers are nice, and very family friendly atmosphere. .

The quality of education meets state standards but could use a boost. The texts used are out-dated. Discipline and follow-through is truly lacking. Leadership of the school needs serious attention. If you are an involved parent -your child may manage to get through elementary school with acquiring the basics to move on. It is a fair and so-so school. Save your money if you do not plan on being a very involved parent. It is certainly not the worst school but your concerns are never addressed . Child to child conflicts are never resolved but rather swept under the carpet.

The academic program could use an upgrade. Some of the texts seem out of date to me. The music, art, sports and extracurricular activities are great. There is enought variety for all interests. A good number of parents are very involved, but how much you choose to be involved is up to you. There are plenty of opportunities though and it is encouraged.
