Quest Elementary School

MORE PARENTS NEED TO GET INVOLVED WITH THEIR CHILDREN AT QUEST. NOT ENOUGH PARENTS GET INVOLVED WITH THEIR CHILDREN

Good idea originally but has gotten narrow and ineffectual in recent years. Much is now made of REACH students who can perform daily classwork on their own with little teacher input; but any child who learns via a different method than the norm is left high and dry without support. Many alternate learners there who are highly creative and innovative rapidly lose confidence in their abilities as a result. Quest has become a school that celebrates future pencil pushers and bean counters but discourages the Edisons and Einsteins in their midst. Sadly there is no strong leadership or vision any longer, although they do have more than ample resources for their students. 4 stars for being a safe place for your child that encourages a sense of community among it's students; but not as great as it purports to be, and ultimately disappointng when you consider what it was.

I have two children at Quest and I believe they really teach in a way that gives the kids a deep understanding of the subjects. Quest also incorporates I.B. Attitudes and second language from Kindergarten on up. Can't say enough about Quest.

Outstanding school! As a teacher (in another district) I am astounded by the quality of instruction. The dedication of the students and opportunities for children to explore their interests is unparalleled. I believe that authorization into the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme will only make the school stronger. Thanks for all that you do for our children!

Hooray for Mrs. Jones (teacher at Quest)! I am pleased that my child has Mrs. Jones as her teacher again. Mrs. Jones is a wonderful teacher and great person. I am a black indian mom and my child is mixed and because I had not noticed any other 'brown-skinned' families I initially felt that my child may find it difficult as a student at Quest. Mrs. Jones helped to teach my child she was accepted no matter what skin color. During 'black' history month in Feb. Mrs. Jones offered a great program for teaching her students about racism as we knew it in the past and how important it is to accept everyone for who we are inside and not our skin color. My child has learned a great deal in her classroom and Mrs. Jones has a 'superb' way of teaching her students. She also encourages parent involvement. TJ

I am grateful for the opportunity to send my son to this school. It is very hands on and he is given the ability to explore with his mind. There are no limits. I am pleased that I am actually encouraged by the administration to take part in his educational progess, as opposed to the 'hands off' approach that so many of the traditional public schools encourage parents to take with their children. He amazes me everyday with his progress.

My daughter attended Quest Elementary from January of 1999 through June of 2002, and I was very happy with the outcome of her years there. The teachers care for their students and the atmosphere is encouraging and supportive in helping each child progress to the best of their ability. My daughter had the same teacher for 3 years, Mr. Budgar, and she has wonderful memories of those years. Thank you, Quest Elementary Staff, for giving it all you've got. For caring about the children. It's all about the children at Quest Elementary.

This is a multi-age class school. It started out as a good school but has slipped over the years. The district needs to revamp the LA and special ed. programs. There is no acountability for any of the the teachers in the district. This is a very hands on school and you work with the same team of teachers from k-6 grades so you really get to know the teachers and they get to know your child and what their strengths and weakness' are but do little to improve their weakness'.
