We have a wonderful school environment for our children, parents, and staff. There are many progressive educational programs in place that help support each and every student. We are also home to Randy Reader.
Such a great school, clean and most of all everyone cares for your child and for you...Love the principal.I am so happy i moved from brooklyn to take my child to this school it was worth it
This is a great school. The teachers are nice and well informed. The school does need updating but in terms of my daughter learning, it si a great school. I am happy she atttends even though the school district is so huge.
Waverly Ave is a wonderful school for your child. They implemented full day kindergarten in 2004, and it is wonderful. The literacy program is exceptional. Students can read and write very well by the end of Kindergarten. It truly is a family oriented school. The PTA has won several awards for parental involvement. Mrs. McNair (5th grade) and Mrs. Hart are truly dedicated teachers whom implemented the Randy Reader Program at the school. The students at all grade levels are really motivated by it. There are many experienced and dedicated teachers and some new teachers with a lot of drive and enthusiasm to teach. The school itself has a long and spirited history. It just celebrated it's 75th year this year. The building is modernized. It is well maintained and an exciting place to go for all the children.
