diverse student body, great academics and extra-curricular, AP and Special Ed for both ends of the educational spectrum, teachers who care and spend extra time with students and with their class preparation

This has been a great school district for my children. They have gone all the way from elementary through high school and we have seen many changes and improvements over the years. Most importantly, I think the principals and teachers are striving to make it better and better. I have one child in college and he seems very well prepared. I have another with special needs and the district has worked with me to ensure a positive learning experience for him also. The one down side I would say is that parents really need to be involved and advocate for their kids, but I think that is true in every district from my conversations with friends in other towns.

FDR has improved overthe last few years. The Sports programs are exceptional. Lots of newer, younger teachers, which I think is good as they are excited about teaching students, which some of the tenured teachers seemed to have lost their zest for teaching. Overall, I would say it is an above average school.

Very poor. This school has a long way to go to be a great school. The teachers are not there for the children and the administration is horrible, they do not care about the students education and are not willing to work with the parents.
