My son has been enrolled in the East Islip School District for the past 3 years and is currently attending Connetquot Elemenatry. The staff, teachers, other parents and students are pleasant, friendly and down to earth. My son has learned so much and I feel great pride in the fact the he attends this school. The parents here are very involved as well as the teachers. What a great community and great start to the first years in education. Not only was my son reading and writing in kindergarten, but he was doing it with excitement. Kudos to all the personnel, parents, students and overall great folks at CES!
This is a nice elementary school if your children have no special education issues. However, if your child has an autism diagnosis this school is not trained in alot of therapies crucial to these children. The teachers are helpful but absolutely not trained in any kind of behavioral therapies. Principal does not want anything to do with special education issues either so there is nowhere for these parents to turn.
I was very pleased with the education that my step kids have received at Connetquot elementary school. They have a very good academic program there and they ran their after care program there very good as well.
