I believe as a previous student attending this school that there is a lot of segregation between students accordingly to race, popularity, and religion. Also most of the teachers think their better then the students and they believe each student should be smart because they goto Jericho. But some teachers I had I developed many connections with teachers and created friendships. I believe that if you are putting your child in this school it is because of education and not to be social and the funning thing is Jericho has many social programs to instigate students to be social but it does not work.

I believe that Jericho Senior High School has provided the right environment for my son to succeed where he was unable to do so in an inclusive school setting. The principal, Joseph Prisinzano and the staff provide the type of environment that enables students to learn using the skills that they have, rather than being force to comprehend with a method that will not work for them. By working individually in establishing an education plan and managing it throughout the year with the teachers and parents, Jericho Senior High School is successful. I would recommend Jericho Senior High School to all parents who are looking for a better way to educate their children.

Jericho High School has an excellent support system for students. Teachers are constantly available before school, during free periods, and after school. The Special Education program also has very dedicated faculty. Students have a wide variety of classes to choose from, and can also be involved in Independent Studies. Jericho has produced many science competition winners, including Siemens and Intel. On the downside, there is a lack of diversity among the student body. Most of the students are from upper-middle class white backgrounds.

This school has been a big disappointment. It is probably fine for most kids, but our eighth grader needs accelerated learning opportunities which have not been available. Its outstanding music program dramatically deteriorated while my child was here, so that it is at best mediocre currently. The special advanced algebra class for 8th grade was cancelled just before he reached 8th grade, and the caliber of most of his English teachers has been shockingly poor. It has therefore given none of the advantages of a huge school, with all of the disadvantages. I can recommend it only in contrast to most of the other public schools in the district.

My brothers and I graduated Jericho High School 30 years ago and all attended Ivy League Universities. The education we received in Jericho High School was great back then and it looks like it's still terrific. Way to go !

This school is great for learning. If you can't take good notes they then give you a laptop to use. The teachers try harder than the students sometimes in a good way. This school was like 90% white a couple of years ago but now has become very diverse with African Americans, Asians, Italians, Spanish. This school is growing in interesting in ways to help you and your child.
