I think for many students Pleasant ave is a wonderful school. The music and core curriculum are very well executed. The rules are firmly in place to deter all children from injury, if a bit overwhelming for free thinking active children. Depending on the teacher, as with any school, a child will receive the best education, with most teachers proving total dedication to instruction and fair treatment of their students.

We recently moved our children to Pleasant Ave School. Before the school year began we were given a full tour of the school. We were encouraged to ask questions. The school has a state of the art computer room and music room. The art room is impressive as well as the library. The school is clean and well maintained. The children enjoy extras such as chess club and various family nights are held at the school. PTA is always looking for parent involvement. Principal Dougherty is a great example to the students. I have seen her show interest, not just in their academics, but in their talents and who they are as young people. This is a great school in a small city.
