I was amazed at the quality education my child received at this school. I could not have selected a better learning environment or a better teacher. Parents are welcome to volunteer and be active in their child's classroom. Loved that it is only K and 1 as it provided a secure physical environment for my child to develop socially within a peer group.
There are many good teachers in this school. Most are doing an admirable job considering the low level of morale due to poor leadership at the school. The principal doesn't appear to be comfortable around children - an odd choice as an elementary principal.
I had the best kindergarten teacher in the world! (Mrs. Gaglio)
This is the best school to send your child to in the Rochester area! The principle is always striving for the best in her school. She has a great relationship with parents and truly loves her students. I can't say enough about the staff. The teachers are open and easy to work with. They challenge their students while creating a love for learning. The standards are high, but not in a negative way. My child loves this school and has succeeded beyond my expectations. I recommend it to everybody considering this area.
This is a great school for children! The staff is excellent and it is a great community. There is a lot here that many schools do not have, this makes the children who attend lucky to be here. Gym, art, music, library, etc. all have great programs and the children benefit tremendously from it. Mrs. Fellows was a great Principal for Lima Primary, the one that is there now has not been good about answering emails but I am sure if you call she will assist you in any way. Either way all of the other support staff is great.
Lima is a pretty good school. There are a lot of new teachers, and some of the experienced ones seem to be 'tired'. Good kids in general though, so I would rate it pretty good.
