My daughter started 6th grade this fall and is has been a great experience for our whole family. The principle,Laura ,greets the girls every morning and is open to any discussions about what is happening at school with students and their parents. This is a warm, nuturing school!
The teachers are really helpful and understanding and the class size is average.
I am pleased that a Junior High School of this caliber has opened in Astoria. The students have shown great school spirit. This couldn't be done with out great leadership from the Principal, teachers and staff. I am very fortunate to have my daughter enrolled at TYWLS fo Astoria.
