I have two children in public school and one child at Hudson Valley Christian Academy. Hudson Valley Christian Academy provides our a child faith based caring environment where our child thrives. The way that the academics are taught compared to that which I experience in public school is superior. The focus is on the whole child at HVCA: from character development and integrity to scholastic achievement. I wish I had known about Hudson Valley Christian Academy so that my two older children could experience the same loving, warm and caring environment. And to be individually academically challenged. The principal and the staff are spectacular. Each considers their position at Hudson Valley Christian Academy as their ministry. Children from all faiths are represented in the student body. I pray that the school will one day extend into high school. It is truly a treasure.
Working with different Christian schools all over the North East of America has shown me how much it takes to run a school with the right amount of spirituality and education. Hudson Valley not only has amazing teachers and an amazing, dedicated principal, they have found a way to merge Christianity into every aspect of their education. I see a bright future for HVCA and believe God is going to pour out more for their obedience to His word and their heart to hear and follow the Word of the Lord. One of the best Christian Schools i have ever encountered.
We love the school! Caring staff, loving atmosphere and quality education. If you are looking for a school where your child will feel at home and get lot's of individual attention, this is the place! The principal and assistant are extremely dedicated to the well-being of the children. The teachers are caring and give 200%. If you don't feel you can homeschool, HVCA is a great alternative.
We are in the Lakeland School district and with a 25:1 student/teacher ratio, we decided to enroll our children at Hudson Valley Christian Academy. We have been thrilled with the commitment the school demonstrates to individually engage each student. Academically, all of our children have tested above their school grade. More importantly, are the values that are being taught and emphasized throughout the day. This is our 3rd year and we will enroll 4 children next year. The school continues to strive for above average literacy and also provide extracurricular activities like computers, music, art, french, etc. The principal is well experienced, has an enormous network of resources and a wealth of knowledge.
