Lakeview Elementary School

So far, so good! My son is in the first grade, and he comes home every day with homework, and he is excited about doing it. Thanks to his wonderful teacher, he has a positive attitude about learning.

I moved from another district around 5 years ago; I was apprehensive even though I heard the Mahopac schools were great -- well, I have found that to be absolutely true! I work as a teachers assistant so I know a little about what makes a good school tick and a lot about teachers and quality of education -- we have it all -- thank goodness.

Principal is new to Lakeview for Fall 2006, coming from Principal role at Mahopac Falls K-gtn; she is experienced and energetic - a strong asset.

Both of my children went to this school and I can't praise it enough. The academic programs are excellent, there are lots of extracurricular activities to recommend it and there is a lot of interaction between parents and teachers. I don't think my kids could've gotten a better education elsewhere. My son is now studying at Cornell and my daughter is in the process of finishing high school and has been accepted at Brown.

I have three children. Of the three two have already graduated from Lakeview which leaves one still in the school. I am very happy with the school and the teachers are outstanding! They are caring and nurture the children which makes their elemenary school years memorble ones. I applaud the school for a great job!

I am a student who went to Lakeview Elementary from second grade until fifth grade. I am now going into my senior year of high school at Arlington High School. All I can say about Lakeview is it is an amazing school with teachers who actually care about the students and are there because they want to be. I was lucky enough to be able to be in that school when I was younger and I'm happy to say the things I learned there are still lessons I am using now.

The teachers and administration of this elementary school have always provided my children with the best education. I have had three children in Lakeview and it has been a great experience.
