I'm a parent of 2 children who attend Downing as well as a teacher in NYC. I am extremely staisfied with the education this school provides and the teachers are phenomenal! I know my children are in a top school. I couldn't ask for any better. The excellent education, diversity, small classes and personal attention given to each child makes this the perfect school.

Our son has been attending since kindergarten and we have been very pleased with his progress. Especially the attention he has received when needed. The teachers are wonderful and well prepared. Sending him to Downing has been one of the best decisions we have made. th the bestr decision we have made

My children have been in Downing for four years and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the education they are receiving. The school has an outstanding staff of truly committed and gifted teachers. Class size is very small and there is also a great feeling of community in this school.

After only 4 short months I am certain I made the right decision for my son. I did extensive research on this school district as a whole as well as parochial schools in the area. The teachers are at the top of their game as evidenced by Malverne District 12 having the NY State Teacher of the Year teaching in our middle school. The administration including the Superintendent, Deputy Super and all 4 building principles are committed to the students and having each and every one of them perform academically to the best of their abilities. There is a wonderful mix of culture. This exposure will help insure we raise a well rounded, respectful young man. The level of instruction can not be compared to private schools in the area at the elementary level. I look forward to a long, productive relationship with this school and it's district.

Excellent school! The special education program is the best support system I have ever received for my child education. Teachers, staff, information, location, and condition of the school is way above the average.
